My tried and true is vinegar and or boiling water for any problem plants, including sticker burrs. Take a look at "hunker.com" for further information.Helpful Reply -

Someone suggested that any sort of fertilizer will kill them because they prefer "poor" soil. We used mushroom compost & spread it over the area where we had them. It worked to some degree & we had fewer in that area the next year. But each of those "sticker burrs" is a seed. Best way is just to pull them up before the stickers are ready to fall off. They come up easy, you just have to be careful of the stickers.Helpful Reply -
