If you are asking if you should remove the mothballs at some point, the answer is yes. They can work for years in an enclosed space. But in the open air, their time is limited. If you can't smell them, they're not working, since mothballs work by releasing a gas. Hope this helps. 😇Helpful Reply -

Hello Myna1938, I use moth balls to get rid of rabbits under my shed. I didn't know that they kill ants. I agree with Jewell above as far as removing them after you have achieved their purpose. If you have killed all the ants and you don't see any more, then you can remove the moth balls. Hope this helps you. Thank you for teaching me how to get rid of ants.Helpful Reply -
