Looks like a pincher bug. I don't think they are harmful. We have a lot of them in the south.
Put Epsom salt around your plant base
That looks like an earwig. Best way to stop them is put some hay in a plant pot and place it upside down on a stick stuck in the ground. Every few days just burn the hay in a garden incinerator or even an old iron bucket. You'll soon get rid of those earwigs.
