I have a large mango tree in southwest Florida which now has ripe fruit. When I get near the tree, the mosquitos instantly attack. Does anyone have a natural remedy?

We live in Kentucky where the humi is almost as bad as Florida! We use "Mosquito Plants". They actually smell like citronell. I saw some at our Lowes yesterday, you may want to check with your local and see if they have it.

Skin So Soft by Avon is a great repellent . You can rub it all over yourself before you harvest the fruit. Also , we own a Thermocell and love it! You just have to turn it on and let it sit next to the area for few minutes to scare away all the bugs, then you're good .

a remedy for you not the tree. Mix essential mint oil with a carrier oil like almond oil and rub that on your skin before you go out there. Witch hazel plain on the skin also deters misquitos

Ok so how does your plant work?! I have a pretty big bushy one and unless you are sitting on top of it, you can't smell it, nor does the mosquitoes. What am I doing wrong? It is my first plant.

Mix 1 large bottle of cheap mouthwash, 3 cups Epsom salts and 3 bottles stale beer. Stir to dissolve Epsom salts. Put in a spray bottle and spray liberally. t won't harm plants or grass and keeps mosquitos away for weeks.

.mosquitoes are hatched in water - remove all sources of standing water. you can also add mosquito dunks or granules to wet/damp areas.

Easier to spray yourself rather than the tree.
I use Liquid Swat. All natural, mine is lavender scented. Works wonders.
