Put hot water or vinegar in a sprinkling can, and spray it where the weeds are, once it's moist, pull the weeds out by the roots.

Dig the weeds out by the roots, then cover with 3 inches of mulch. There will always be a few weeds as the seed come in on the breeze and with birds. Some weeds also grow by the roots. Garden fabric disintegrates after a few years and becomes a mess to remove. The mulch also adds some nutrients to the soil.

any vinegar or boiling water will kill the plants, either pull out the weeds or smother them out with newspaper, cardboard, heavy landscape fabric and mulch.

Use hot water or vinegar full strength. Put the water or vinegar in a sprinkling can to keep it away from your plants. This is a good time to pull the roots out while their wet.

First you have to pull the weeds up by the root, once done, lay thick layers of newspaper down, wet them well, then throw some mulch around them. I tried this last year and only a few weeds have come up.
