Smother it with newspaper, cardboard or landscape fabric. Then place mulch or rocks on top. You will still get weeds, but they will be shallow rooted and easy to pluck.
Boiling water does the trick for these ideas.

you can only smother it out.Using boiling waterer any other solutions will kill the surrounding plants
