I faux STAINED my front porch 20 years ago, still looks good. It is raining too hard to get good picture, but I made it look like 12inch stone tiles. We painted my sister's porch, put protective coat on top and it started chipping within two years. So easy to do. I stained whole porch first with grout color, let dry and then put auto striping tape on to mark off 12 inch stones. Faux painted stone. I used white, light grey, darker grey and almost black. So easy - lots of 'how to' web sites and probably Utube, Easy!! I have had contractors take 2nd look. looks so real! I am showing my sister's porch. Her's is different size and is darker then mine. But it has fooled people, too.

One word of warning. We (my sister and I) found that it was a one person job when doing the faux stone look. We made stones totally differently, So funny, We did a couple and decided she would be the gofer. LOL !!
