If you do extend the porch, with the roof you will cut way down on the natural light to those two windows -- but it might be worth it .. and if it's 'open' across the front - just a minimal railing -- with furniture/potted plants, etc. it would be lovely ..Helpful Reply -

First, you need color!!!! Next, you have a huge blank area that needs some attention - I recommend some tall plants or shrubs, maybe a small decorative tree. Also, the walkway goes nowhere-- that needs to be extended - and would make a perfect border for flowers or other landscaping. The porch looks fine but the house needs balance. It is very topheavy on the right side and needs attention on the left.Helpful Reply -

I think extending your deck would look wonderful. If you did not want to extend the roof on your deck because of the cost you could just extend the deck past the two windows and then have wide steps at the end. I would landscape in front of the deck- with flowers and small shrubs.Helpful Reply -

I think extending the porch would be lovely and eliminate the balance issue.Id love to see you copy the “fan” detail on the end railing for continuity and charm.I don’t know what it would cost, but I’d be tempted to price out installing a third window, even if it’s your garage. It would be so cheerful. While I’m spending your money, look into a ”delicate” pergola for that length. It wouldn’t really block the light. Your wood and construction choices should obviously complement your darling porch.https://barstoolcomforts.com/blog/2016/05/5-tips-for-adding-the-right-pergola-to-your-property/Pinterest has tons of pergolas to “shop” ideas, and there are free exterior design visualizers online to play with.Have f7n.Helpful Reply -

What is behind this long spance? A room or a garage? Why not add another window even if it is the garage? I like the small dwarf tree too. It looks like the porch railing is tight up against the door. That doesn't look right either.I would like to see the entire front of the house.Helpful Reply -

Plant some taller plants on left side NOT in areas where windows will be blocked . Be sure to ck mature size of plants and allow enough room for space away from house and so windows won't be blocked in 5-10 yrs . Add colorful plants . Enjoy !Helpful Reply -
