A fun project for a small area like that is to paint a "rug". Clean concrete with TSP and water. Rinse well and let the surface dry. Tape off your rug and tape a design inside your rug. You can make it as simple or as complicated as you want. Select as many Oops paint acrylic colors as you want (love, love, love Oops paint). Dab your paint into your design and let slightly dry. Pull up tape. One 2 ends of the rug, paint "knots" and paint fringe from the knots. It's a great project and quite a conversation piece -- and it's a one-of-a-kind!
Seal it then Paint it with different colour Floor Paints. Checkerboard - Crazy Paving - Doodle - Art work...............Or maybe Concrete Stain????????
I have a large patio that I painted to look like large tiles.
Thanks. I taped if off with painter's tape then used a paint roller with a handle extension so I didn't have to bend down. It went pretty fast after the taping.
Porch and Patio Floor Paint from Home Depot. I did not seal it first.
Have you thought about purchasing an indoor/outdoor or outdoor only rug? I have had two, and the one I purchased from Home Depot was on sale for approximately $78.00 . HD has a huge selection of patterns, colors and sizes as do other big box stores and the rugs are washable. Add some nice rocking chairs, pillows, a few plants and some complementary colored pillows and you have an attractive place to sit and enjoy the out of doors.
Good luck and have fun.
You can make it as simple or as complicated as you wish. don't forget you could always paint over it again if you don't like it Do hope you try it, and Have Fun !!
