I have an outdoor room with a fireplace and sometimes we like to use blankets. Does anyone have ideas on decorative outdoor blanket storage that will keep ALL THE BUGS OUT. I keep thinking a cooler in a box. Any and all ideas are appreciated. Thank you.

How about a storage ottoman? There are so many different styles to choose from...leather, upholstered in fabric or colored vinyls. Anything that isn't "crawl through proof" like a basket or open weave should work to keep your blankets bug free!

Amazon carries a storage box by lifetime that states it is water and bug proof.

I don't know what your decor is but it would be really cool if you could find one of those metal vintage coolers those have latches in the style of a metal tool box. I'm pretty sure they would be air tight. You could clear coat it to make it waterproof so that it wouldn't rust any further than it might already be rusted.

    1. Refurbish an old dresser with big drawers and use that. 2. Build a bench with a lift up lid and store your blankets in it. 3. Build a ladder that leans against the wall and hang your blankets on the rungs.

I bought a Rubbermaid tote container painted it with spray paint for plastics, I picked a colour that went with my patio furniture. Now the totes come in so many colours you may not even need to paint it.Then cut some wood to fit in the indentation on the lid. Painted the wood and coated with 2 coats of exterior poly. Glued the wood to the lid with liquid nails. I use it as storage and also as a side table. It is totally water and bug proof. It has lasted outside ( summer only ) for about 4 yrs then needed another coat of paint. Cant show pictures its still packed away , Its still winter here calling for snow tomorrow. Not bad for a $15.00 investment. Hope this gives you some ideas. Good luck
