Clean the front door, tape any hardware or glass that you want to keep paint free and paint. Some hardware stores and craft stores sell paint made specifically for front doors so it's stronger with a more vibrant color that won't fade in the sun.
I prefer semi-gloss paint and buy with primer in it already
Hi Lesa, just use painter's tape to mask off the window edges. It might be a bit of a picky job because of the shape of your window, but it would be worth it to take the time to prep it properly.
Then use an exterior paint in the color you want. I change up the color of my front door every couple of years, I love the way it changes the look of the entryway.

I'd tape off the window before painting. You can tape it off with small pieces of painters tape to make an oval.
Hi Lesa. Tape off the window part. Clean the door well and I would recommend painting on a primer first. After that has dried use a paint that will work with the material of your door. I also recommend to invest in good paint brushes. They do make the job easier.
