How can you paint dark brown furniture to white

I have used 2 coats of Kilz or another primer after sanding off the current finish. Sanding will help the primer to adhere. Good luck.
Sand the brown, prime and paint. The prime will help hide the brown and give good adhesion to the white. It should look nice when done.

Zinsser has good coverage and can be used on real wood or other! It feels rough to the touch! If I used it again under paint, I would put clear polyurethane on top!

Clean down and dry furniture. Paint over with Chalk Paint and then Wax to finish.
Of course, you can do it with no problem. A couple of steps, one clean with Dixie Belle White Lightning, 2 if there are any questions about tannins, nicotine etc we have a product called BOSS that blocks odors, stops stains etc. then paint as normal with Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint. Here are a couple of pieces that were dark mahogany pieces painted with Dixie Belle!
