That’s a great use for it! :)
I don't have experience with that particular paint, but you're right that you need to prime veneer before painting or it'll just peel right off. I would test it on a small veneer piece first, let it dry according to the instructions, and then scratch at it to see if it peels up easy or stays.
yes it is!
Bonding primer is one of my favorite primers it’s very thick and gives you a good comprehensive coverage. We used it to paint the PVC piping in our laundry room to be able to match the wall paint to the exposed pipes. I’m sure you’ll really enjoy it enjoy using bonding primer that was a great find! Congrats!
Yes, Valspar will be perfect for priming your veneer furniture. Have fun Sarah
Hi Sarah, share your joy of "oops" paint and have bought a lot of colors I knormally would not have and it's resulted in fun for me! Yes, your find should work great on the veneer finish and many other items. You still might want to sand lightly to get even more "tooth" for the primer to adhere to. Lucky you!
Hi Sarah: Yes, indeed! This is a great product. I'm sure you willl be happy with it and, may find other uses as time goes by.
Love the oops paint section at Lowes. Got a gallon of Valspar paint for 4.99 and it looks beautiful in the bathroom.

Hi Sarah. You got quite a deal. And it will be perfect for this veneer project. Good luck Sarah. Stay healthy and well.
Bonding primer is a specialty primer to ensure good adhesion for paint. So it's great for cabinets, shiny surfaces, etc. Things that normally would take a lot of sanding. It does need to be covered with paint when dry.
