read about the company's history here:
https://www.encyclopedia.com/books/politics-and-business-magazines/lane-co-inc
The company started in 1912 and made chests under the name "Red Cedar", then took the Lane name in 1922. It looks 1930s to me. You should write to them in Virginia and see if they will help you.,
See of this helps!

so, if you can find your serial number (rather than style number), you may have your answer- read it backwards
That is beautiful! I would try contacting the Lane Furniture manufacturer via website. https://www.lanefurniture.com/about/frequently-asked-questions.html and or skim questions.. Someone else asked how old is my chest and answer 'Usually Lane cedar chests have serial numbers that are stamped or applied to the bottom of the chests. You can read the serial number BACKWARDS to determine the production date. For example: serial number 753150 would have been produced on 05/13/57. Some chests may also have an extra digit which denotes the plant location.' Good Luck!
I will try the lane website I was hoping that someone would recognise the style because it us unusual. No serrial number that I can find
I'm looking hard for you. Normally, the serial number is on the bottom of hardwood furniture and the tag of upholstered furniture. I'm curious as to the Lane stamp. Is there anything on it that says Virginia or Maid. It looks too large to be a hope chest but I'm guessing that's what you have. The xo, is interesting. I know Lane began with a cedar chest mill. Also is the chest lined? Those are all questions or clues. Please keep us posted!! If you have any other details as mentioned, that will help narrow down to the year but also the model.
I have a Virginian made Lane chest that the number on the bottom says 9033 that's all is on the bottom inside is bunch of numbers with patents can you tell me how old this is or what year it was made in
