How to raise a table lamp 6 inches?

I have a wooden base table lamp that is the perfect size for my table. But it needs to be raised about 6 inches because you can see the top of the bulb when standing near the table. Since my husband passed away recently I don’t have access to any wood or tools to diy. Can someone suggest where I can purchase a wooden cube or have any ideas on how to raise the lamp? Once again, thanks to everyone who’s been helping me out these last few months!

I would try Hobby Lobby or other craft store. They should have some type of block you can use. You will need something like epoxy to stick the lamp base onto the block so it doesn't fall off and do damage.
I haven't seen a block that big at crafts stores. you can go to Home Depot or Lowe's and they will cut wood that you buy. You can also ask on a local buy/sell group if someone could make one for you.
I've used these I purchased on Amazon and they work great. https://amzn.to/2G1cdRA
You could use a stack of books, or one of those small cedar chests that were popular years ago that you used to get on vacations. Or a jewelry box, or candy box that you could decorate or paint. Or how about a pretty basket turned upside down.
I'm thinking about going to a countertop place and having blocks of granite or tile scraps cut and shaped. May even go to a flooring place and get several small tile squares glue them together and put rubber feet on them
