What color should I paint interior doors that won't show dirt?

What’s the best color to paint interior doors so they don’t show the area around the door knobs? I’m sick of having to clean them every day.

Would it devalue my fireplace to paint it out in white? It is currently gray brick.

We have built-ins on either side of our gray brick fireplace, and I would love to paint the fireplace out in white. However, my husband feels it would be a bad idea.
Depending upon your interior colors, you could stain them or paint them most any dark color. Brown, black, dark navy blue or dark green would be less likely to show the dirt.
E....i agree with Chloe...either remove white paint and stain or go with the darker colors. Good luck!
I will agree with Chloe, you should paint the doors the color of the dirt that is being deposited on them. That would work. 🌹💖😘
It seems that dark brown has become a popular door color. The last time we purchased some doors, they were that color rather than the off white. If you want to stay with white, paint with RustOleum enamel paint. It's super easy to keep clean.
Or purchase backplates for them. And get the inhabitants of your home to have better hygiene. If they can open doors, they can wash their grubby paws. You have better things to do all day than to clean up after untidy inhabitants. I certainly wouldn't tolerate it or do it. I would have the perpetrators do the cleaning.
