Is there a way to paint over foil wallpaper?
Johnavallance82 on Apr 07, 2018No you will have to strip of the foil. If you are lucky it will come off in one long strip - easy...........Helpful Reply
Janet Pizaro on Apr 07, 2018others will say yes...I disagree.....remove the wall paper....you will be saving your self from a headache down the roadHelpful Reply
2dogal on Apr 07, 2018Please, do it right and remove the wallpaper. The glue is sticking now, but as it ages, it will loosen and you will have to remove it anyway. It's always easy to tell if someone has taken a shortcut and painted over wallpaper either by the embossing showing through or the vertical stripes at the wallpaper edges. Not a good look.Helpful Reply
Sherry on Apr 07, 2018I have the same old wallpaper in my condo. I had someone put wallpaper over that foil paper and it's fine. Now I want to take it all off, so I don't know how to get both off.Helpful Reply
