Is there a way to paint over foil wallpaper?

No you will have to strip of the foil. If you are lucky it will come off in one long strip - easy...........Helpful Reply -

Please, do it right and remove the wallpaper. The glue is sticking now, but as it ages, it will loosen and you will have to remove it anyway. It's always easy to tell if someone has taken a shortcut and painted over wallpaper either by the embossing showing through or the vertical stripes at the wallpaper edges. Not a good look.Helpful Reply -

I have the same old wallpaper in my condo. I had someone put wallpaper over that foil paper and it's fine. Now I want to take it all off, so I don't know how to get both off.Helpful Reply -

Easy to remove wallpaper..spray bottle of water with fabric softener in it..peels right off. Soak it down and experiment with it on time, usually ten min..Helpful Reply -
