I Made an All White Master Bedroom, how do you decorate yours?

My bedroom was decorated in darker earthy tones but since I turned very sick and have to spend a lot of time in there I wanted it to be more bright , airy and uplifting. So I transformed it to an all white / off-white space. I am very happy with the result and my new room. I am curious to hear what you think.

Before Master Bedroom /Earth Tones

After Master Bedroom/Off White

Before Master Bedroom/Earth Tones 2

After Master Bedroom/Off White 2

And painted the high boy dresser white for an unified look as well as the lower dresser on the other side of the room

A little white random collection of white pottery

Painted a new painting to exchange my darker mountain and herd of cows with a more modern and provocative portrait.

Table arrangement. I had fun spray painting candle stick and flower pot in a glossy silver.

Sorry to hear of your illness. The room does look airy. I am, however, glad there are some warm tones and a pic with very nice colours.

Thanks Nicolette, the monochromatic feel was what I wanted to achieve. It just makes me feel calm inside right now.

Sorry to hear that you are unwell. While I understand that you were looking for something a little more tranquil, I find that your room looks a bit too much like a sterile hospital room. Perhaps add some more pops of colour using accent pieces? I wish you a speedy recovery :)

LOL ...my husband made the same statement :) Thanks Shari for your comment.

I'm so sorry for your illness and wish you a quick recovery. I totally understand because I to cannot leave my house without an escort due to my illness. I had my LR/DR painted and since I love gardens I had it painted organic green, and white baton board was added to DR to not overdue it it's L shaped. We just hit the first year here. I love it because it's tranquil to me. I loved both looks of your room. I lean toward the new calming white. It's just very tranquil with enough color on floor. I would never have come up with what you did since I tend to go to bright hot colors but I would love my MB like this so my eyes can rest. Get better quick and continue to post future transformations, may the Lord be with you while you heal.💖

I've been thinking about re-doing my walls, or most of them, white/cream. Now that I've seen how nice and tranquil yours look, I'm sold on the idea. The room looks lovely. Hope you feel better...

I love plants, real and, when needed, artificial, all over my house. The greenery is relaxing and emanates positive vibrations. Plants and earth colors take us to our roots. What do you think?

that's exactly what I was going to comment on below! Some tall plants, and with a tiny bit of fan to make them move, you will get a triple good thing. Air cleaning, movement on trees has been proven to help relax and heal, and something natural to be with and relax. I love what you have done! I am glad for you ,that you did it. I don't think it is sterile at all. Very restful. Not busy. 😋🤗 I understand about being ill and needing a calm space..fibromyalgia. Take care and enjoy your space! Nicely done! 😍

  • So sorry you are not well and wish you a speedy recovery! I love what you did, as I also like light and airy. If it makes you feel good, that is what counts, you can always change things around when you feel up to it. Candles and plants always make me feel better! Thanks for sharing, feel better! 🤗

Yes the airiness of the light colours make me breath easier and I love plants and candles. Although I LOVED to use scented candles , which my lung tumours I nowhere to stay away from them since they release harmful chemicals into the air which I really have to avoid. Thanks for your comments.
