Hi Carolyn, I recently read a post where chicken wire was stapled to an old window. The window was hung and they used the chicken wire to hang jewelry, especially earrings. It looked pretty cute too. You could probably use a large frame in the same way.

Ever check out the ideas they have on Pinterest? Attach pretty door knobs, that come in all shapes and sizes to a piece of then you can organize your jewelry. You could also use a silverware tray for keeping necklaces separate so they don't get tangled.

Hi I seen a really cute idea, if your familiar with those heavy wooden coat hangers ? get some medium heavy tea cup hooks and screw them into the underside of the hanger. Do this the whole length of the hanger, then you can hang the necklaces and bracelets on the hooks. hope you like the idea.

I am posting photos of what I use.
Mug tree for rings, velvet covered hangers for beaded necklaces, wire hooks stand for fine necklaces, fabric and padded frame for my brooches. The frame was made by taking out the glass and added old cushion wadding covered with silk over the backing board. Then pushed it back through the frame and secured at the back.
The hangers have buttons on each end to stop necklaces falling off.
