ah.. this is why i save the original packaging. the idea is that the tv's can't move, or slide in the packing. my last move i put them in the back seat and buckled them in with a child safety harness. after wrapping in a blanket.
I would wrap it with a couple of heavy blankets. secure with heavy packing tape. transfer it into a box, or put it onto the back seat of my car and transport it to the new location.
When I moved i put a sleeping bag on mine it was winter time
A blanket or duvet to cover then I agree I would transport the TV myself
