modpodge is a brand name of a craft product. If you can't find it at Walmart or your local craft store! it is easy enough to make from water and elmers glue. Try a one part glue to two parts water.
you can make it various ways:
Ingredients
Ingredients for Glue-Based Mod Podge
Ingredients for Flour-Based Mod Podge
¼ teaspoon vinegar (optional)
It depends on the craft you need it for, but just mixing a white glue like Elmer's with water can be used as a substitute.
Thanks. I wondered what was in modge podge.
Wallpaper paste also works, you may need to dilute it if it's too thick for your use. Dilute with water.
Make Your Own Mod Podge (MUCH Cheaper) For Decor and Craft Projects
Mod Podge (glue & sealant) is not cheap. Here is a super simple recipe that costs about $1.00 for a whole jar!
Just put 2 parts cheap white glue and 1 part water in a jar and shake. Use as you would your Mod Podge. Only difference is it creates a matte finish, which is actually really nice!
