How do I repair walls my cat scratched?

Drywall? wood? Drywall add a fresh coat of spackling, let dry, lightly sand with a drywall sanding block, repaint. Wood? Sand paper and restain.

If your walls are sheet rock you can repair the walls using some spackling or sheet rock mud, sand smooth, and repaint.

I would sand, patch with spackle, and re-paint. Good luck!

Consider putting caps on her claws or put a preventive clear acrylic panel where she likes to scratch. Maybe give her a scratching post alternative.

The hardest part is getting the surface texture to match. If it's the drywall that is damaged, you need to seal the inner paper before applying anything over it. Use a utility knife to remove any rough paper edges. Seal the scratched areas. Fill with joint compound. Do a little sanding to bring down any high spots, but not too much sanding. Don't make it perfectly smooth because the area around it probably isn't. Here is where you need to do some experimenting. If your wall was just painted, use a short paint roller and, applying thin coats, try to get the texture to match. if the area was brushed, try the same thing with a brush. For other textures, you may need to try a sponge, rag, crumpled paper, etc, to get a match. Remember that paint does not hide imperfections, but rather accentuates them. Make sure the texture is right before painting.

Hi Diane. I'm Cindy. I discussed your problem with my husband. He said to put a very thin layer of spackle in the scratches and around them. Very thin is the way to go. Don't worry about putting too much on. After it dries, it will all be sanded. Allow spackle to dry overnight. Then sand it all with a very fine sandpaper until it's smooth. Next, you should wipe it down with a damp clean cloth. That will remove any dust before you paint. And, last, paint the area to match the paint already there. Good luck Diane and Happy Holidays.
