Blank wall plate over an existing outlet

If you remove the outlet, wire nut the wires you can put a blank cove over it. Make sure you turn the power off to it before you remove the outlet.Helpful Reply -

Sure you can. these outlets can be covered with blank plates or filled with baby safety plastic outlet covers.Helpful Reply -

If it's a cable outlet, the blanks only have one circle. If nothing is sticking out, you could use a solid blank. If you can write really tiny, you could label the blank with an ultrafine permanent marker for the new owners someday.Helpful Reply -

If it's cable, you can put a blank over it and ignore all the above about turning the power off. There's no power in there.Helpful Reply -
