Oh, boy that is nasty. I would get some yarn and/or embroidery floss and try to mend it that way. Looks like it is just in the middle too! That happened to me once when I had made a quilted (did the quilting too) sofa slip cover and a guest burned the front of the skirt! Good luck!
Add a large, upholstered button? Maybe 3 across?
Is there an unseen area on the chair of sofa ? Is there a spot under a cushion of is there a skirt on the bottom , where you could cut a small area out and patch the burn area? You would need to carefully take the extra material , slip it under the hood and glue the edges with a tiny amount of E6000 glue .

Call a weaver. She should be able to repair with a small amount of original thread, which she can gather from the bottom.
