Place a cloth over the stain and go over with a medium heat iron. White (not gel) toothpaste and a damp cloth. A dab of toothpaste on the cloth and gently rub in a circular motion.

you can try white tooth paste on a rag, buff gently then wipe with damp rag, dry. May take several tries. Pick a small area away from center of table to try 1st.

Hi there, Restore-A-Finish works really well. Just wipe on with a soft cloth in direction of wood grain and wipe off with a 2nd dry cloth. It comes in colors to match most woods and costs around $9.00.
