You can use filler and and sand it down, you got his!
I like Plastic wood for this kind of repair , it is a stronger filler.
If you use filler or plastic wood wouldn't you have to paint it?
My pup did this also. Because it was a shih tzu his teeth teeth were very small. I opted to buy stain to match and coated the teeth chewed area well. It's not perfect, but it blends it so it's not so noticeable.
I use Quikwood. It's epoxy putty. You pinch it off and knead it with you fingers to get the right color and press it on. After it hardens you can lightly sand it. I have found if you put it on too thick it doesn't dry well. It comes in light and dark. I ordered on the internet. I imagine you can type it in and find it. Laura blaylock
Put your puppies in the bathtub when you're gone. Take a couple of socks and tie knots in'em for a play-chew toy. they love it.
