You will still need the screws.
liquid nail will loose it adhesion after it gets hot! You can remove liquid nail with a hair dryer, faster with a heat gun though! If the sun going to be beating down on this I’d not use liquid nail! A roofing tar for gluing it down might be a better choice? It’s what we used for woodstove pipe flashings when we installed woodstoves. It still needed to be nailed down and put the roofing tar over your nail heads as well
I doubt this will work and I'm sure it wouldn't be safe. Screws are used due to wind load sending your metal roofing flying and potentially damaging property or injuring people or animals.

It will hold it for a short time , but it needs to be nailed.
