How can I repair concrete outdoors?
The concrete on the deck of the house we bought is starting to break up in spots and expose the rebar underneath. It used to be stained as well but has faded. How can we repair the concrete and restain it ourselves?

I want to make the repair, then paint the angel cream color and then finish up with black antiquing.
You can buy products that are already mixed to repair small cracks. Check at Lowe’s , H Depot or your local big box store. Clean the crack of all loose derby then follow direction on package. Most times just fill in crack smooth over o finish then cover nd let it dry.

It will look bad to patch. The area should be broken out and repoured professionally when weather is over 65 degrees
colouring is added to wet cement before application.
You might want to cut out a section in line with your threshold if you don't want to go the full width. I can't tell from the picture if that would look okay. Purchase ready mix "just add water" like Sakrete. It can be mixed in a wheelbarrow or you can rent an electric concrete mixer. Our home depot will rent 1/2 day, full day, or week.
As Judy mentioned, if the existing concrete is not white (originally) then you will need to add color into the mixture. It's a dry powder.
Smooth with a damp hand trowel and keep an eye out. I would set up a barrier to make sure no one steps onto it and ruins your hard work.
