Likely due to poor drainage - soil is eroding around my gas meter. It extends under the concrete block foundation of my manufactured home. :(

I would definitely suggest that you hire a professional for this if you own the land. It will definitely be worth it to prevent your home from sinking and perhaps falling apart. In many areas where I live, the land is rented. If that's the case, it's the responsibility of the owner so talk to that person or company.

Perhaps you could install what I think is called a "French Drain" in a higher area that allows the ground water to fall into a bed of rocks BEFORE it can reach the foundation.

The area around your house may need to be re-graded to address the drainage issues... I would consult a structural engineer or landscape engineer to find out what is causing the problem and exactly what to do to fix it... doing it right the first time will save you headaches and money in the long run.

HomeAdvisor.com or AngiesList.com should be able to help you find a responsible one to give you the correct information you need.

Is your property Freehold or do you lease the land the home sits on? If you own it contact your Buildings Insurance co . they will send out some one to sort it. If no Insurance - call a Structural Engineer for a Report. If a Sink Hole - also call your Local Authority. Why could it be bad drainage? No Gutters/No Waste Pipes/No /drains? etc........

A sink hole can be very dangerous. It potentially swallow up a whole house. Google and watch videos. You can't fix a sink hole yourself.

Call a professional as soon as possible! You really don’t want to tackle a sink hole as a DIY project. Good luck.
