I got mine at Lowe's. They're sold in about 3 foot lengths in a couple of differerent colors. You slide the one edge up the bottom course of shingles and snap the other edge into the gutter lip. Works like a champ. You can check out the prices at Lowes.com.

It doesn't have to look good, necessarily. One cannot really see them from the ground.

You can buy a mesh for just this purpose. You just set it in your gutters. It is not quite as effective as Gutter Guards, but it will keep the most of it out. I would also purchase the screens made just for the downspouts so they don't clog up. Check out Lowe's or Home Depot.

I used what Molly used. I tried the wire mesh screen in my gutters and they didn't work out. Trying to bend the mesh just creased and bent it out of shape. I got my vinyl guards at Home Depot. Vinyl screen with a nylon mesh underneath. Lets water through but no debri.

I found an OWENS-CORNING reticulated foam , in 3 Ft sections that fit's snugly in standard 4 In. gutters .The rain water filters through to a run-off channel at it's bottom and any pine-straw or leaves is kept on the top surface,to fall or be wind blown off. I've had the system for several years and

have had to only ,once a year, give the top surface a light brushing to clear any stuck leaves or pine-straw.

We got the wire mesh and had problems after installation with giant icicles over our front and side doors. Called the company and they said this happens sometimes. We never had a problem with the ice pre-installation. Be sure to ask about this if you don't install them.
