Maybe u could turn the door around, but then u would also have to change the lock and doorknob to the inside and vice-versa. Does that sound like it would work?
I had this done. It is as Carol (above) suggested, and it works... Took the door off, turned it around. Cut all new indents for hinges and hole for door knob tongue into frame and door, then used a good wood putty filler for old cuts. Let it dry for a day or two, sanded, painted, then put the hinges on new side. Made sure it was opening correctly, then tightened everything. I actually had to let two men contractors go who told me I needed to buy a new door (a custom door that one of them had ordered wrong). Asked a woman contractor if it could be resolved and she got it to the putty stage within a couple of hours.
Start by changing the hinges, then make new areas to cut out for the lock and the deadbolt. You need a special drill bit for the deadbolt. Next cover the old holes with wood filler or caulk, then paint over it. Good Luck!
