May need to adjust the door jam...piece on the side where it slides in when closed.
Tiny is correct, but the jamb is the frame for the door. You likely will need to adjust the striker, the metal part that the latch hooks into. They are not adjustable, but will have to have the screws taken out and striker repositioned.
There may be another reason that the door no longer latches. Hinges could be loose. Latch mechanism may have failed. Door could have warped. The only way to determine why it does not latch is to look at it, open and close the door a few times and do your detective work. Lacking that you could bring in a handyman or carpenter.
First spray a little WD40 and see if this works.
Does the latch work just doesn't hit right to close? Tighten the hinge screws. Also you can use longer screws in the hinges. If the latch doesn't come out you may need a new latch or knob assembly.
Best of luck!
