Do I have to seal tile backsplash in kitchen?

White subway tile on the kitchen backsplash is done but does it need to be sealed so water doesn't damage the grout or is it ok without?
If so how?

You shouldn't have to seal it, but read the grout installation instructions to be sure.

Seal the grout. It will make it a lot easier to clean if something splashes on it.
Definitely seal the grout no matter where it's installed. A lot of people don't do this and it gets dirty and grimy over time.
Hi Colleen, I would definitely seal the grout, especially in the kitchen. Grout sealer can be found at most hardware stores and you apply it with a paintbrush and wipe off the excess from the tiles. So it's an east job that well worth the effort
