My first tip would be to go in there with a level to determine whether the tub is perfectly level or not. You will want to give yourself several pencil lines horizontally on the walls so you have some guides. If the tub isn't level you will have to decide to either A: Make the tile level or B: make it "level" with the tub. If you follow the tub and its not level you will run into some weirdness on the corners.
