How do I change a chest of drawers into bookcase?
I have a 5-drawer chestdresser that is not suitable for its original use. How can I change it into a bookshelf and what can I use the drawers for any other purpose, ideas????

Some people hang drawers on the wall for added shelving and even add another board for more shelving in them. People with limited space such as a spare small bathroom find they make great anchors for mirrors and small bathroom items. The chest can have the pine shelves added for more books to be held in them. It would be quite deep, but you might consider cutting it in half so it is not so deep or use it with the deep shelves. Some of the spaces might hold wicker looking baskets for other items as well. Just some thoughts. I hope you plan to restain or paint it to make it look new also. Sounds like a fun project!
