How to repurpose this solid wood headboard

We got this at a steal,$5 it is solid wood with the mirror in the middle,I say repurpose as a corner cabinet,hubby says no,Lolol help save this piece it is around 4 ft long and not very wide

Do you have an entry way or mud room? Refinish it, add hooks for hanging coats, hats, etc and use it as a shelf. You could use it in the kitchen to hold spices or something, hang pots from or display a teacup (or whatever) collection. If you don't like the mirror, you could maybe remove it and put a picture or something in it's place.

I know a lady who had a headboard like this converted into a faux fireplace mantel & painted. Most people can't believe it wasn't always a mantel!
