Put them in your compost pile!

They are perfect for starting seeds. Put your planter mix in but leave at least 1/2 inch space, drop in one seed per tube, cover slightly depending on seed size and bunch together in a container for easier watering. I just put mine in a small wooden box. Keep damp, not soaked. When you get two true leaves, plant whole tube. This leaves the roots undisturbed, the 1/2" collar you leave above ground helps prevent cutworms and because the plants have true leaves they are less likely to be eaten by birds. This is especially effective when planting sweet peas since they have such a long tap root that they would not usually transplant effectively.

Our charity uses T.P tubes at Christmas to hold hard candies and small treats. They are then wrapped with Christmas paper and the ends tied off with ribbon for a 'popper' look.

Save for Halloween. Cut eye shape holes in'm, then some Dollar store fake tea lights (I'm having a brain fart & cant remember what they're called). Place them in different areas in yard. When they're lit up they look like glowing eyes.
