I'm looking for cute ways to sew easy sock monsters/animals...?

I have 2 kids & expecting a 3rd in a month, so I have plenty of extra socks in my house! I see those adorable sock monsters/animals at craft fairs & Pinterest. But a lot of Posts do not come with easy to follow instructions. I'm a decent sewer & crafter. Can someone help me with a basic understanding of how to make a sock monster or animal, please? I'd love to make them as gifts for my kiddos! Many Thanks! 😁

I came across 2 books I have. I don't know how easy they would be for you. One is by Pack-O-Fun Publications: More Sock Toys You Can Make. The company is Clapper Pub. in Park Ridge, Illinois. (It is an old book) The other is by Brenna Maloney, named Socks Appeal. Website on the back is stashbooks.com.
