Fill the crumbs up or cut them in half then fill them 2/3 way with foam news paper something then the rest dirt
Here is a large planter that my parents made, and have used very successfully!
I plan on using food grade plastic barrels cut in half length ways and propping them up with cement blocks. Next will be making drain holes and then lining with plastic screen. Next will be planting soil with plants and seeds.
