How can I upcycle an old metal dustpan?

The dustpan is 50 yrs. old and has a lip that crosses over the pan. They don't make them this way anymore. Any good ideas on how or what to use it for, as a decoration?

I am not sure how big the lip is but could you plant some succulents in there and hang it on the wall?? It sounds cute I would love to see a picture.

You could stencil or paint something on the front to create a unique looking sign.
