Outside: paint it with Rustoleum, stake or bury the end in the ground, hang one or more garden hooks from the top end, then hang baskets of flowers, hummingbird feeders, or other pretty things.

Or, hang the rod from a horizontal tree branch using rope or strong twine. From the rod, hang flower pots, feeders, watering cans, wind chimes, etc.

Inside: create a flower rod across one of your windows, hanging the rod from the ceiling or between two cabinets.

Or: attach the rod to a blank wall and hang a tapestry (2yd of drapery fabric), a quilt or spread, or a big painting.

Or: clean it up and donate the rod, the old curtain and the curtain rings taped together to a local charity or theater group.

    Best wishes ☺️

I use a shower rod in my shower placed right next to the wall horizontal to the other one. I put shower curtain hooks on it and have my personal products I use in the shower hanging from the hooks (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, & leaning products for shower)

This gets them up off the floor of the shower and has worked extremely well for me. If the product doesn't have a way to be clipped on I use a heavy-duty rubber band and use an officeindeer cliip to attach to the shower hooks.
