What can I do with sofa cushion springs?

It seems a shame to throw them out. The foam has had it but the springs are still good.

Great idea for a garden feature. Paint with your favorite color and ad pots with beautiful herbs, succulents, bright annuals, or perinials. If you have a sturdy fence you could attach it to your fence and create a garden feature with plants, old garden tools, an outdoor wreath, eceteria. Hi D, Thanks, that is getting my imagination flowing! I could maybe hook them together and hang pots from them. Maybe even they would scare the cockatoos away from my friut trees!

How wide are they? I have seen people screw them around the small light bulbs in ceiling fans in place of glass globes for a funky industrial look.
Are they big enough to put a small saucer in and use as a birdfeeder?
