You can hang it on the wall as a shelf. Here is one that I did. I added feet, painted and added a piece of fabric to the inside for my grandbabies book storage :-)

I've seen them repurposed into planters - very pretty!
If it is a small drawer I like to turn them into chalkboards! Just paint the back of the drawer with chalkboard paint then stain or paint the sides. Larger drawers can be stacked and used for storage. Another idea is to add castors to the bottom and slide them under the bed for storage.
