You can cover it by paint or papers like suggested by Janet and Susan then use it as a storage container for all your manicure tools and to hold nail polishes. Those things are always out of control and clutter up the drawer. (Pull the base out and use the flat bottom). But you could also keep the little base in the bottom and use it to sort jewelry stones or beads and findings. Make it a secret treasure box for a daughter or grand daughter :)
