Just paint is whatever color you like You can scraped the paint off the glass with a single edge razor blade. I think the gold looks lovely. You could use some Brass or gold sconces on a wall nearby or figurines on a table to make it pop
Use a good painter's tape to tape off the windows. Use a small paint brush to apply the paint to the gold.
Beverly has got it. Tape off the glass and paint the brass.
Pop the trim off the door, and give it a spray paint. If you just paint it on the glass, the part laying flat on the glass will still be gold.
