Hi Trish. I would clamp the wood to the door until it has completely dried. This way you don't have to worry about it sliding down out of place and getting glue on the mirror part.
Yes, I would think you'd need to clamp the wood to whatever you're gluing it to so there is pressure against the two surfaces until it dries thoroughly.
Thanks I did clamp just not super tight and it worked fine!
