How can I refinish a fiberglass front door?

How do I strip and refinish a fiberglass front door? The sun has caused peeling and discoloration. Any hints on materials for removing as well as type of stain and protective coating would be appreciated.

You need to test it but some paint strippers will.melt the fiberglass. Use a,mild one like a citrus stripper if must. I'd recommend just sanding it and painting. Stain would look pretty flat since it doesn't have a wood grain.

I would use a gentle stripper like Citristrip and steel wool to get it out of any wood grain pattern. I've never stained fiberglass, but I saw on YouTube where a guy used a wood grain tool and gel stain to get a faux wood door. I would definitely use a crystal clear Marine top coat like spar varnish.
