Hello Nancy! If you feel you have too much sunlight coming in through your windows you could put up some privacy film. It comes in many designs that can filter the light a lot or a little depending on the pattern you choose. I have found very reasonable prices on Amazon and you can order different amounts of the film that would work for your needs. It is easy to apply and stays put.
If you're getting too much light through, you might treat it with frosted glass spray or film.
This works great

Hi Nancy: You can put up some window film, but they deteriorate after a while, even the best ones (expensive) last only about 10 years. Here's a site about them: https://www.conveniencegroup.com/myths-about-window-film You can use 2 tension rods - top and bottom - and secure a pretty curtain there. Good luck
