Exterior storm door to interior sliding door

When I refinished my front door and storm door, I got a little careless with the palm sander and scratched the glass in the storm door. All was not lost though. It got a new life as a sliding door in my dining room. I love it so much more than the boring hollow core door it replaced, so it was a happy accident indeed. Instead of buying pricey barn door hardware, we used a closet door track from Lowe's. It was intended for bypass sliding doors, so it required some altering. My husband cut the extra track off with an angle grinder. We mounted the track to a 2x6 pine board and mounted the board to the wall using 3" wood screws into the wall studs. You can read more about it at my blog.
