I had a friend put her desk on a local buy and sell board. It was only $20 and featured a hutch to go on top. Since I wanted to streamline my desk space a bit more, I went for it. It's a standard desk you can find at your local Target -type store. The dark color was too much for my living room, so I revamped it! This project was my submission to The Fab Furniture Flippin' Contest for September.
This was the before! You can see some damage on the top. Plus the drawer wasn't pulling out properly.
Here is the after!
The General Finishes paint was ahhhh-mazing.
I even got the keyboard drawer to work.
